Trend Micro Internet Security has started to make its place in the home user market and now is the preferred solution offered to customers by various computer stores located around the world. Myself I have started using this package as my preferred option for virus and spyware protection on my computers.
The first time I installed this on my computer I was a bit cautious and
was not sure whether I had made the right decision but none the less I
was told it was the best one to use and I should give it ago. I
purchased my copy from the local computer store and when I got the
chance I finally installed it.
The install was seamless and
easy to do considering most installs of software of this nature is
usually annoying and something I dred doing. I installed it, registered
it and started playing around with it. Once I started using it I found
it to be no intrusive on system performance and my interaction with
itself and other applications installed on my PC.
I had a
friend come over with his computer and we wanted to start playing death
match. We tried to connect but we could not see each other, I figured
it was PC-Cillin playing games with its built in firewall. I exited the
game and had a look at it. Within a mater of minutes I had found the
location of the firewall area thanks to the easy to use interface. I
configured the firewall within a few seconds and re-entered the game we
wanted to play and vola! We could see each others computer and was able
to start playing.
The next thing I wanted to do a few days later
was Term Serv in to my computer from the office. I could not access it
due to a restriction but when I got back to the computer I had a
notification displayed on my screen enable access to my computer from
the remote location. I clicked always allow and it worked straight
away.
This would have to be the easiest application I have
used for configuring access to objects through the software's interface
and it the load placed on the CPU was very low. I would have to say
that it is the best of the Internet Security Packages I have employeed
on my computers. If you are new to computers this is a must have!
